About the Author

The spiritual mission culminating in this book began when Jerry Kays was born in southwest Washington State in 1940.  Although his parents divorced when he was 6 years old, both parents remarried, remained friends and Jerry considers himself blessed to have had four parents, rather than just two.  Through his early years he worked in his family's small salmon and tuna commercial fishing business, then joined the US Navy's nuclear submarine program.  After 6 years, he left the Navy as a petty officer, to return to college and a series of interesting jobs--from bartender to tugboat engineer.  He began his civil service career as a surveying aide, worked himself through the ranks to retire as a Generation Power Dispatcher for the Federal High Voltage Electrical Power Grid of the Pacific Northwest.  After his retirement, Jerry and his wife moved to the rural woods of northwest Montana.  It is after this full life and career, and living in the beautiful, peaceful, inspiring area, that Jerry Kays has been able to write this fascinating record of his Spiritual Awakening.
